Genevieve is a Private Equity Analyst at Old Mutual Private Equity (OMPE), part of Old Mutual Alternative Investments. She provides essential support for deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of the OMPE portfolio, contributing to the identification and analysis of investment opportunities across medium to large enterprises in South Africa and the broader African region.

In her current role, Genevieve performs comprehensive financial analyses and develops sophisticated financial models to evaluate investment opportunities. She supports the identification and organisation of due diligence activities, analyses market trends and industry dynamics to identify potential investments, and completes quarterly investment valuations. Her work directly informs the OMPE team's investment strategy and decision-making processes, with a focus on delivering insightful analysis and recommendations.

Prior to joining OMPE, Genevieve spent over three years at RisCura as a Private Equity Junior Associate, where she gained independent valuation and due diligence experience on unlisted investments, typically for pension funds and private equity funds. Through her work, she gained exposure to the banking, consumer goods, healthcare, infrastructure, oil and gas, real estate, renewable energy, and telecommunications sectors. Valuations were supported by research into the market and industry conditions facing each business, with a particular focus on African markets. She also led a project producing independent research on the Southern African infrastructure landscape and identified investment opportunities.

Genevieve completed her SAICA traineeship at Ernst and Young and is a registered CA(SA), having extensive technical grounding in financial analysis, audit and corporate governance. She completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a BBusSc in Finance with Accounting, both from the University of Cape Town.

She has completed CFA Level I and brings strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proven ability to communicate effectively at senior leadership levels.
